You will be responsible for designing, developing, and verifying firmware for embedded systems for new products and supporting existing firmware programs. This position will drive the firmware development from the initial define and ideation of a project to the validation and release of a product.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Unit tests for design validation
  • Test plans for validation of firmware/hardware integration
  • Assisting with firmware related hardware validation
  • Adding new features or supporting product variants on existing firmware
  • Investigating, resolving, and validating Firmware/Hardware issues for existing products
  • Creating specifications, high level designs and documentation for the firmware of new projects
  • Providing input for digital circuit design

What we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor of Electronics or Computer Engineering (essential)
  • Minimum 3 years firmware development experience (essential)
  • Proficiency in “C/C++” Programming Languages (essential)
  • Ability to layout a high-level design and define a project with respects to the Firmware design
  • Experience with electronic test equipment (oscilloscope, multimeter)
  • SMT32 MCU experience
  • Analog and digital circuit design experience + Altium Designer
  • Basic scripting knowledge in Python and or MATLAB
  • Experience with issue tracking and source control software: Trello, Jira, Git, Bitbucket or equivalent (good to have)

  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work quickly and under pressure

We require a firmware engineer, who can hit the ground running, so you need to have experience documenting high level designs, even if for just your own project tasks. A broad depth of experience is preferable.
