We are looking for a Regional Sales Manager – Photonics & High Speed I/O Test and Measurement Solutions, to drive new business opportunities in key accounts and target markets in North America (US and Canada).

With an expanding range of innovative benchtop, modular and customized test solutions, we work with leading technology companies and research organizations to solve complex test and measurement challenges in the electrical and optical communications and emerging related fields.

Your main responsibilities will be to identify and close new sales opportunities, establish and maintain contact with target accounts and promote the company’s products and solutions at trade shows and conferences. In this role you will work with target customers as peers in the industry, and act as a consultant to help solve their test and measurement challenges related to R&D, validation/characterization and high-volume manufacturing test.

You will be measured on achieving and exceeding sales targets, as well as building a network of influence among key players in the industry.

Ideally, applicants will be based in the San Francisco Bay Area and will be comfortable working remotely. Candidates at other locations will be considered as well, as long as regular customer visits can be achieved.

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Build network of key customers and accounts in North America focused on electrical and optical communication such as IC developers, optical transceiver/interconnect developers, system companies, universities, etc.
  • Prospect for new opportunities and customers to maintain a healthy influx of new sales opportunities.
  • Effectively manage the sales funnel through the CRM tool to keep opportunities up-to-date and move opportunities forward.
  • Maximize revenue from existing and new customers within assigned geographic territories, industries or target accounts.
  • Interpret customer requirements, identify optimal solutions to meet those needs, and provide consultative services to support customer challenges.
  • Provide first level technical support to customers.
  • Perform product demonstration and oversee/manage on-site technical evaluations.
  • Work with our Field Applications Engineers, sales, marketing, and operations teams to deliver excellent customer service and support.
  • Manage sales reps and distributors and maximize sales through this sales channel.
  • Promote existing and new products to customers in person, at trade shows and online sales presentations.
  • Maintain positive long-term relationships with key customers.
