Quantifi Photonics is pleased to announce the appointment of Caroline Williams as new Board Chair.

The appointment follows the company’s recent $25 million Series C capital raise led by Intel Capital, as it aims to become a leading supplier of high-value test instruments to global semiconductor and telecommunication manufacturers.

Williams is an experienced director of high-growth companies, with extensive experience in the telecommunications, financial and professional services industries.

She has held senior roles at Telecom (now Spark), Crown Infrastructure Partners, and Deloitte and brings extensive experience negotiating high value business acquisitions, joint ventures, and technology deals in New Zealand and globally.

Williams says, “Quantifi Photonics’ high-density test solutions are enabling semiconductor and telecommunications equipment manufacturers to meet the ever-increasing demand for bandwidth from data centres and global communication networks. They have an exciting opportunity to expand further into these markets, and I’m really looking forward to helping drive growth following their recent successful Series C raise.”

Quantifi Photonics CEO Dr Andy Stevens says, “Caroline’s appointment is another step forward on our mission to grow our business into a global test and measurement leader. Her talent and experience will be an important addition to the board, and we look forward to working with her as we continue to pursue our rapid growth strategy.”

Williams adds governance and risk expertise as well as business transformation experience to the Quantifi Photonics board, and joins fellow non-executive directors Lance Wiggs, Roy Moody, and Brent Robinson.

She is currently the chair of Easy Crypto and a director of a major event host organisation funded by MBIE and Auckland Unlimited. She was an early investor in Boring Oat Milk and is an angel investor in a number of other businesses.
